The best solution for my curved staircase!

Multiple floors – Multiple solutions

Not all staircases are straight, which is why Handicare also manufactures curved stairlifts. The twists, turns and sometimes sharp corners of a curved or multi-level staircase simply requires the right customized solution – and ours are capable of navigating corners, traveling across landings and spinning up spiral staircases smoothly and safely.

We offer two curved solutions: a single rail (Freecurve) or double rail (2000) style. The Freecurve single rail stairlift has a sleek and unobtrusive design with a variety of style and add-on options, including our proprietary Active Seat. The Active Seat option works similar to a lift chair, where the seat will gently support you as you are sitting down and standing up out of the stairlift, making it a great solution for those with joint and muscle pain.

The 2000 double rail stairlift boasts the tightest track bends in the industry. Extremely versatile, the 2000 can be made to fit the most complex of staircase designs. The double rail system allows for an extra-smooth, extra-safe ride.

Curved Stairlift | 4000

Using the latest technology, our twin rail system is custom built to create a perfect fit for your stairs. The 4000 offers a range of automatic options tailored to your needs, including a folding hinge to avoid obstructing nearby doorways, and powered swivel and footrest for ultimate ease of use.

Its stable twin rail design delivers a smooth ride whilst enabling tight bends. This system offers the tightest rail bends on the market, making it an ideal choice for spiral or curved staircases and narrow hallways.

The rail colour can be fully customised to suit your décor, and the seat can be customised with a range of colours in three style options: the Style, the Smart, or the Simplicity.

There is a shortened seat and retractable seat belt which provide a stable support area for users to ‘perch’ on. This means that Perch Seats may also provide a solution for particularly narrow staircases where a user would not have room to travel in a seated position. Curved Stairlift | Freecurve

The Handicare Freecurve provides a multitude of innovative features to ensure your stairlift is tailor-made just for you.

Custom built to fit your staircase, this unique, single track design is available in a variety of colors to match your home and décor. Coupled with one of three seat styles, your comfort and safety remain priority. This includes our Active Seat option, a stand-assist aid to gently guide your movements as you stand up or sit down.

The Freecurve can overcome many architectural obstacles, allowing it to be installed in tighter spaces. For example, the Turn and Go feature will swivel your seat as you are riding the lift to ensure your knees don’t hit the opposite handrail on narrow staircases. The drop nose and powered hinge minimize any track obstructions to a minimum.

To ensure an exact fit on your staircase, we utilize our proprietary PhotoSurvey system to take pictures of your stairs. These measurements are then uploaded into our system and transposed into an instant look at how your stairlift will look in your home. This allows you the opportunity to make sure you are happy with the design before we even leave your home!
